Rinse the pork spareribs thoroughly and pat dry. In a bowl, combine the spareribs with light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, cornstarch, sugar, white pepper, and oil. Mix well and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Add the minced preserved black olives to the marinated spareribs and mix well.
Arrange the spareribs evenly on a heatproof plate.
Heat a steamer with water over high heat until boiling. Place the plate of spareribs into the steamer.
Steam for 20-25 minutes, or until the pork is tender and cooked through.
Serve hot with steamed rice.
