Wash and pat dry pork ribs. In a bowl, combine ribs with light soy sauce, sugar, white pepper, cornstarch, sesame oil, and cooking oil. Marinate for 15 minutes.
Add dace fish paste and minced ginger to the marinated pork ribs. Mix well to ensure the paste is evenly distributed.
Arrange the ribs in a shallow, heatproof dish.
Steam over high heat for 15-20 minutes, or until the pork ribs are tender and cooked through.
Garnish with chopped spring onion before serving hot.
