Ingredients

Proteins

  • 300 g minced pork

Aromatics

  • 1 pinch white pepper
  • 10 g ginger

Sauces & Seasonings

  • 3 pieces salted plums
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Other

  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

    In a bowl, combine the minced pork with soy sauce, sugar, cornstarch, sesame oil, water, and white pepper. Mix vigorously in one direction until well combined and slightly sticky.

    Pit the salted plums and mash them into a paste. Add the mashed salted plums to the minced pork mixture.

    Mix the minced pork and mashed salted plums thoroughly until evenly distributed.

    Spread the mixture evenly on a heatproof plate, forming a flat patty. Garnish with thinly sliced ginger on top.

    Bring water to a boil in a steamer. Once boiling, place the plate with the pork patty into the steamer. Steam over high heat.
