Ingredients

Proteins

  • 500 g pork ribs, chopped
  • 1 tsp oyster sauce

Aromatics

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 0 pinch white pepper
  • 1 stalk spring onion, chopped

Sauces & Seasonings

  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil

Vegetables

  • 2 tbsp fermented black beans

Other

  • 300 g taro, peeled and cubed

Instructions

    Rinse the pork ribs and pat dry. In a bowl, combine pork ribs with minced garlic, minced ginger, fermented black beans, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, cornstarch, cooking oil, and white pepper. Mix well and marinate for 15 minutes.

    Arrange the taro cubes evenly on a steaming plate. Place the marinated pork ribs on top of the taro.

    Steam over high heat for 20-25 minutes, or until pork ribs are tender and taro is soft.

    Garnish with chopped spring onion before serving hot.
