Ingredients

Proteins

  • 300 g minced pork

Aromatics

  • 0.25 tsp white pepper
  • 1 slice ginger, finely julienned
  • 1 stalk spring onion, chopped

Sauces & Seasonings

  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 0.5 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Other

  • 50 g water chestnuts, peeled and diced
  • 1 tbsp water

Instructions

    Combine minced pork, diced water chestnuts, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, cornstarch, sugar, white pepper, and water in a bowl.

    Mix vigorously in one direction until the mixture is well combined and slightly sticky.

    Transfer the pork mixture to a heatproof dish, flatten it into an even patty.

    Drizzle sesame oil over the pork patty.

    Arrange ginger juliennes on top of the patty.

    Steam the pork patty for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.

    Garnish with chopped spring onion before serving.
