Blanch pork ribs in boiling water for 2-3 minutes to remove impurities. Drain and rinse well.
In a large bowl, combine the blanched pork ribs, taro, fermented black beans, minced garlic, light soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, sesame oil, white pepper, and cornstarch. Mix well to coat everything evenly.
Arrange the marinated pork ribs and taro evenly on a heatproof plate.
Steam over high heat for 20-25 minutes, or until the pork ribs are tender and the taro is soft.
Serve immediately with hot white rice.
