In a bowl, thoroughly mix Guilinggao powder with cold water until a smooth, lump-free paste is formed.
Slowly pour boiling water into the paste while continuously stirring to prevent lumps. Add sugar and stir until dissolved.
Transfer the mixture to a saucepan and cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens and starts to bubble.
Remove from heat and pour the hot Guilinggao mixture into individual serving bowls or molds. Let it cool down to room temperature.
Once cooled, cover the bowls and refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours, or until fully set. Serve chilled with a drizzle of honey or syrup.
