Ingredients

Proteins

  • 300 g chicken thigh fillet

Aromatics

  • 2 slices ginger
  • 0.25 tsp white pepper

Sauces & Seasonings

  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Shaoxing wine
  • 0.5 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 0.5 tsp sugar

Other

  • 150 g fresh Chinese yam
  • 1 tbsp dried goji berries
  • 1 tbsp water

Instructions

    Marinate the chicken with light soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, cornstarch, white pepper, sesame oil, and sugar for 15 minutes.

    Arrange the sliced Chinese yam and shredded ginger on a heatproof plate.

  3. 3

    Place the marinated chicken on top of the Chinese yam and ginger. Sprinkle the goji berries over the chicken. Add water to the plate. Steam over high heat for 10-12 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
