Steamed Pork Ribs with Dried Scallops and Bean Curd Sheets

Ingredients

Proteins

  • 500 g pork ribs, cut into 3-4cm pieces
  • 3 units dried scallops, rehydrated and shredded
  • 1 tsp oyster sauce

Aromatics

  • 1 tbsp ginger, julienned
  • 0 pinch white pepper

Sauces & Seasonings

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 0.5 tsp sesame oil

Vegetables

  • 50 g dried bean curd sheets, rehydrated and cut into 5cm pieces

Instructions

    Marinate the pork ribs with soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, cornstarch, cooking oil, sesame oil, and white pepper for at least 15 minutes.

    Arrange the rehydrated bean curd sheets in a shallow, heatproof dish. Place the marinated pork ribs and shredded dried scallops on top of the bean curd sheets. Sprinkle with julienned ginger.

    Bring water in a steamer to a rolling boil. Carefully place the dish with ribs into the steamer.

    Steam for 15-20 minutes, or until the pork ribs are tender and fully cooked.

    Remove from steamer and serve hot immediately.
